Welcome to Cockpitfest!

What's it all about?

In 2002 the International Cockpit Club (ICC) was founded with the aim of bringing together owners and restorers of aircraft cockpits, aviation collectors and general enthusiasts worldwide. The previous year in the UK the annual Cockpitfest event, organised and hosted by Newark Air Museum (NAM), was born. For the first time an event dedicated to the 'grass roots' hobby of cockpit restoration and preservation was staged and, with the event growing and developing, the ICC and Cockpitfest inevitably became very closely related.

With the ICC having run it's course and now closed down, the best parts of that website have been preserved and incorporated into this one. The aims are basically two-fold: to act as a showcase for the work of cockpit restorers, without whom some significant parts of our aviation heritage would be lost, and to continue to support and promote the much respected Cockpitfest event at NAM.

Here you will find reports and photographic records of past Cockpitfests, along with photos and details of cockpits from collectors and restorers around the world. Our forum is where we would like to continue the good work of the ICC by getting 'cockpiters' from around the world talking to each other, helping with techniques, sharing information and exchanging parts. Please register and log details of yourself and your projects in Roll Call so that others know who you are and how they can help.
